Why We Built This Site
Minnesota gives the public broad access to many government and court records, but the hard part is figuring out which office holds the file you want. Mahnomen County District Court has original jurisdiction over civil, family, probate, juvenile, criminal, and traffic cases filed in the county, and Court Administrator Carissa Scholz is the local court administration contact. The Sheriff handles local law-enforcement questions, the Mahnomen County Recorder handles marriage and vital records, and current custody information may route to the regional jail in Crookston.
